As a child, I knew I wanted to work with people to help them heal. After being virtually bedridden with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 1990, I focused all my life energy on my own healing. My physician suggested that I look at “alternative medicine” for help, as he didn’t have any answers for my failing health. I got a real education of many modalities, but the one which spoke to me most deeply was my introduction to Oriental Medicine through the doorways of Macrobiotic dietary principles. Oriental dietary therapy, or Macrobiotics was my lifeline. As I applied the study of Yin and Yang to my food and life, I was able to get out of bed, return to school, work and dance. I began to envision a future life again, one with abundant energy, vision and hope. Subsequently I lived and studied at the Kushi Institute, the premier center for Oriental Medicine dietary therapy. I felt I owed the recovery of my health and therefore my life to Oriental Medicine, and furthered my study and training with acupuncture school. I graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest accredited school in the nation, in 2001 with training in traditional Chinese acupuncture and also a specialized focus in Japanese acupuncture.  I utilize both approaches in my practice, finding the most effective treatments for a particular individual’s condition.  More recently I took these studies a step further, and completed specialized training in the treatment and elimination of allergies, or NAET . (This stands for the Dr who originated the technique, Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques.) NAET has been the next step in healing the remnants of my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and making it possible for me to eat more broadly without experiencing symptoms from food allergies.

On the practical side, I have a spirited young boy and can offer parents and children empathy, compassion and practical experience treating children’s health.  I treat many chronic and acute health disorders for adults, children and babies. (I offer the option of comfortable noninsertive brushing needle techniques for children.)

I want to help you, your family and your children regain and strengthen your health, be free from pain and distress, and have abundant energy and well being. I want to help you eliminate disharmony before it becomes a rooted pattern of disease. Mostly I want you to feel empowered to live the life you want to live with optimal health.

I am licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine, the Committee on Acupuncture, and is also certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) the highest certification body in the U.S.
